From estimate to invoice without typing it twice
An estimate goes from Draft to Sent, then "Customer said yes" or "Customer said no". Estimates stay valid for 30 days unless you change it, and you can ask for a deposit, which prints as "Deposit to begin". When the customer agrees, one action turns the estimate into a work order or an invoice, with every line carried over.
HST you don't have to double-check
MapleFix charges Ontario HST at 13% and works in whole cents, so totals never drift by a penny. Each line has its own tax treatment: standard-rated, zero-rated, exempt, or out of scope. A provincial licence fee you collect on the government's behalf shows "No HST" and stays out of your sales on the GST/HST return. If you prefer prices that already include tax, MapleFix backs the HST out for you. If your shop isn't registered for GST/HST yet, it charges none.

Payments, recorded properly
Record each payment against its invoice: e-Transfer, cheque, credit card, debit, cash, bank transfer, PayPal or other, with the date and a reference. Invoices show Partly paid, Paid or Overdue by themselves, and MapleFix won't let you record more than is owed by accident. MapleFix records the payments you take; it doesn't process cards.
Mistakes fixed the right way
An invoice issued on an earlier day isn't quietly edited: you void it and make a corrected copy, so your records always add up. When a customer brings parts back, a credit note credits exactly what was charged, can put the part back on the shelf and can record a refund. Debts written off as bad, and money that comes in later, flow into the GST/HST return on the right lines.
PDFs that look like your shop
Pick a Modern, Classic or Minimal layout, and add your logo, your shop colour, a PAID stamp, your GST/HST number and a signature line. Your payment instructions, such as your e-Transfer address, print under "How to pay". Email invoices, estimates and work orders straight from MapleFix through your shop's own Gmail, Outlook, Microsoft 365, Yahoo or other email account, with the PDF attached.
Numbers that make sense
Invoices are numbered INV-2026-0001, estimates EST-2026-0001 and credit notes CN-2026-0001 by default, starting again each year. You can change the format and the next number in Settings, and export invoices, payments and invoice lines to a spreadsheet at any time.
