Customers say yes to what they can see
A photo of a cracked serpentine belt, or a ten-second video of a leaking strut, explains a repair better than any phone call. With MapleFix every inspection is digital from the start: the mechanic works through the checklist on the phone, takes pictures as they go, and the service advisor sends the finished report to the customer in a couple of taps.
A checklist that fits the car in the bay
The checklist has 58 points in 12 sections, from fluids and filters, belts and hoses, battery and electrical, brakes, suspension and steering, to tires and wheels, body, glass and lights, and interior and safety equipment. Because MapleFix decodes the VIN, it leaves out what doesn't apply: no oil checks on a fully electric car, no transfer case on a two-wheel drive, DEF and glow plugs only on diesels, and high-voltage battery checks only on electric cars and hybrids.

Three ratings, the same words everywhere
Every point gets one of three ratings, and the customer reads exactly what the mechanic picked:
- Good
- Needs attention soon
- Urgent / unsafe: fix now
Tires and brakes at each corner
For front left, front right, rear left and rear right, the mechanic enters tread depth in millimetres, tire pressure, brake pad thickness and rotor condition (Good, Scored, Worn or Replace). MapleFix rates them for you: tread at 1.6 mm or less is urgent and 3 mm or less needs attention soon; pads at 2 mm or less are urgent and 4 mm or less need attention soon.
Photos and video from the phone
Mechanics take photos with the camera or pick up to six at once from the phone's library. Videos of up to 30 seconds, with sound, are recorded right in the app, so the customer can hear that wheel bearing. Photos are made smaller before they're sent, so they go up quickly over the shop Wi-Fi. The inspection in progress is kept on the phone as the mechanic taps, so nothing is lost if the phone closes the app while the camera is open.
From finding to repair line in one tap
A point rated Soon or Now can carry a description of the repair and a price. "Add this repair to the job" puts it straight onto the work order, so nothing found in the bay is forgotten at the counter.
The report your customer gets
Send the inspection as a private link by text, WhatsApp or email and let the customer approve the work online, or print the inspection report: the results, photos of the points that need work, and the recommended work, most urgent first. Open safety recalls for the make, model and year are shown on the inspection (from the US NHTSA recall database), and you can note on the report that they were reviewed with the customer.
