Customers approve repairs from their phone

Send the inspection as a private link. Your customer sees the photos, videos and prices, picks Approve or Not now for each repair, and the answer lands on the job.

The page the customer opens from the text message: Maple Ridge Auto Repair’s inspection of their Honda CR-V, each recommended repair with its rating, note and price, two of them approved so far and the running total.

Stop chasing customers by phone

Leaving voicemails and waiting for a call back holds up a bay. With MapleFix, the inspection goes to the customer as a link they open at work, at home or in your waiting room, and they answer when it suits them.

From the job or the inspection, choose "Send to customer". Send the link by text message (it opens your phone's messaging app with the message written), by WhatsApp, or by email from your shop's own address, or copy it to paste anywhere. The message reads "Hi Amira, here is the inspection report for your RAV4 from Maple Ridge Auto…" with your customer's name, car and shop filled in. Mechanics can send links too.

What your customer sees

No app to install and no account to make. The page shows your shop's name and phone number, the car, its odometer reading and the date, and a count of what's good, what needs attention soon and what needs fixing now. Each recommended repair has its own card with how urgent it is, the price (or "Ask us"), the mechanic's notes, and the photos and videos. There's a table for tires and brakes, and a list of everything that was checked. To keep things private, the page leaves out the plate and the VIN and uses only the customer's first name.

What your customer does

For every recommended repair, the customer picks Approve or Not now, and the page keeps a running total of the approved work. Then they type their name, tick "I approve the work I chose above, at the prices shown plus HST" and send their answer. Once they've answered, the page is locked: to change their mind they call the shop, so there's never any doubt about what was agreed.

What happens in the shop

The answer goes straight onto the job. Approved repairs are added as lines marked with the customer's name and the date they approved online, and the job moves to "Customer said OK". The job's approval card shows when the link was sent, when the customer opened it and when they answered, and an open job updates on its own, on the computer and on the phone, so the advisor sees the answer without reloading. If a customer approves by phone or in person instead, staff can record that too.

Private by design

Each link is a long random code, and MapleFix keeps only a scrambled copy of it. Links stay open for 30 days, stop working if you send the report again or cancel it, and are hidden from search engines.
